Why Usertally exists

We wanted something simple, but haven't found anything. Our personal use-case.

We, ivy.mayhem GmbH, built and maintain multiple platforms with growing user bases. Because of that, we wanted a simple way to keep track of our customers - ideally across all of our platforms. Most CRM tools we tried were bloated with features we don't need, had bad UI/UX or were too complex. All we wanted was a simple "source of truth" for all of our customer data and connect to services we already used. So we built it ... keep reading.

What if I get over my contacts limit?

If you have more contacts in your list than are allowed in your plan, you can still import new contacts without any disruptions. We will send a notification when you reached 90% of your included contacts. Upgrading to a higher tier is possible at any time if you have not yet reached 90,000 contacts.

Note that only the number of included contacts are visible to you. If you are subscribed for 5,000 contacts, but have 5,500 contacts in your list, only the first 5,000 are visible to you. You are also not able to export more than those 5,000 contacts.

What if I have more than 90,000 contacts?

While our infrastructure certainly can handle more than this, we currently don't plan to serve Enterprise customers. The reason for this is simple: Enterprise customers have other needs and we don't want to end up bloating Usertally with a bunch of features only a few customers will need.

There are lots of CRM tools available that offer Enterprise-level features. Those are probably better suited for a larger customer base.

Can I also downgrade?

If you are on a cleaning spree, removing outdated customers, you can of course downgrade at any time.

What is a project?

A project is a separate list you can use to store and manage customers. Our free plan includes 1 project, our paid plan includes 5 projects.

If you need more projects, you can purchase additional ones for a small, one-time fee of €5.99.

Do contacts count on a per-project basis?

No. Contacts count across all projects in one account.

Where is my data stored?

Your data is stored on servers in Germany. All servers are regularly updated with security patches (whenever available) and maintenance updates.

What payment methods do you offer?

We use a merchant of record, who basically "resells" our software so we don't have to deal with all the tax regulations. They support credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and PayPal.

Do you offer support?
